Fujitsu Accelerates Sale of Air Conditioning Business Stake to Support $5 Billion AI Initiative
Fujitsu plans to expedite the sale of its $730 million stake in the air conditioning business to support its $5 billion expansion plan for AI services. The company is in negotiations with several potential buyers, including Bain Capital and Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. Fujitsu aims to become a tech giant in the digital age, offering AI services to help manufacturers improve efficiency, reduce emissions, and calculate optimal solutions in production and logistics. In addition to the air conditioning business, Fujitsu also plans to sell its battery manufacturing subsidiary and chip packaging subsidiary.
